As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position offers the opportunity to support public-facing operations while demonstrating Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring approach through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entry points, public-facing service areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access to assigned areas, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain a professional presence to help deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
