About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for properly executing security duties on an assigned shift, to adequately protect the life and property of customers, employees and Saracen Casino Resort property while maintaining exceptional customer service. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Requirements

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
High school diploma or its equivalent required.
Must have good observation skills.
Must be able to work in an intense and construction environment.
Applicants must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.
Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
Must have ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems in a professional manner.

Nice To Haves

Applicants with Gaming, Military, Law Enforcement, Police or Security backgrounds will be looked upon favorably.
Prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety of customers and employees while on the premises of the Saracen Casino Resort.
Generate daily/weekly reports as assigned by Supervisor or Site Liaison.
Assist patrons and employees and respond to critical situations (Medical emergencies, irate patrons, etc).
Continual observation and patrolling, as directed, of the casino premises, corridors, bar area, office area and parking lot of the Saracen Casino Resort.
Successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course; and any other training required by management.
Report to the Security Supervisor any violations, acts, or situations which are detrimental to the best interest of the Saracen Casino Resort.
Assist in any internal or external investigations conducted by the Saracen Casino Resort, Arkansas Gaming Department, or authorized local authorities.
Maintain the strictest of confidentiality with respect to the internal functions of the Security Department as well as any other information deemed to be confidential.
Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
Any other duties that may be assigned.
Meets attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Attend all necessary training meetings.
Assist in other projects as directed.
