As a Security Officer Access Systems Coordinator in Whitestown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail or mall location, you will monitor entry points, verify access, and help maintain a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, document activity, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to retail location personnel, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of retail areas, entry points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with store personnel, mall management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed to support security-related operations.
