About The Position

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Partner in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care for people, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following campus location policies, and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate relevant details to supervisors and/or local responders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to deter trespassing, theft, vandalism, and/or policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document incidents, patrol activities, and/or unusual conditions in required reports and share information with Allied Universal management and/or designated location contacts.
