About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. The Security Officer’s performance is necessary for the casino to reach its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for its guests.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalency to include Home School Certificate.
• Regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests, and operates a computer, other office equipment and a radio.
• Regularly required to remain stationary for 50 percent or more of their shift.
• Must be able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and in a smoke-filled environment.
• May be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve contentious issues with difficult guests and staff members.

Responsibilities

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling facility property.
• Prepares reports based upon observations, information, and occurrences, interviews witnesses, and obtains signatures as needed.
• Monitors the opening and closing of machines for routine repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Provides escort for employees when entering and leaving the main bank with issued bank.
• Observes drop and count team when drop and count is being performed.
• Attends and satisfactorily completes all training as assigned by Security Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
