As a Security Officer in Shakopee, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry and exit, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations through visible presence, strong communication, and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location, trailer yards, and/or loading areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and documenting security-related activity as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and/or shipping and receiving zones, with attention to unusual activity and access control concerns.
• Communicate with site contacts, dispatch, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding visitor management, gate activity, and security-related issues impacting daily operations.
