About The Position

The position of Security Officer ensures the safety of company assets and the welfare of guests and Team Members.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
  • Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk during shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to push or pull up to 150 pounds.
  • Requires bending, stooping pushing, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
  • Must always present a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
  • Possess effective learning skills.
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior security or law enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of guests and fellow Team Members.
  • Make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
  • Provide security protection for guests, pavilion and casino property.
  • Assist with all monetary transactions between the casino cage, gaming tables and slots in compliance with ICS and as required by management.
  • Comply with Underage Gaming, Responsible Gaming and Liquor Control regulations.
  • Assist injured guests and employees.
  • Be alert and react promptly to suspicious persons or disturbing incidents on property.
  • React promptly to disturbances on the footprint of the property as required.
  • Make every attempt to keep your duties discreet and confidential.
  • Drive company vehicle as needed.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
