Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a prominent public arts location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public-facing government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, galleries, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify permissions for restricted areas, and assist with directing visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors in accordance with site protocols.
• Support crowd management, special events, and public interactions by maintaining a visible presence, providing clear instructions, and communicating security-related concerns as needed.
