Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Have a Class D security license
- Valid Driver's License required
- Ability to work weekends (required) and holidays
- Willingness to carry and use defensive weapons (e.g., handcuffs and Oleoresin Capsicum spray)
- Mental, emotional, and physical competencies needed to learn and apply the SeaWorld Use of Force Response Options and OC spray policies
- Knowledge of common safety/security practices
- Ability to define problems, collect accurate data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and determine a proper course of action
- Ability to lift, push, pull 50 lbs
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to bend, stoop, and climb stairs to reasonable heights
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Be able to pass required CPR/First Aid course
Nice To Haves
- Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly and appropriately to calls for service and security/safety issues
- Patrol by foot/vehicle to protect park guests and park property from security/safety risks
- Assist law enforcement officers when necessary
- Perform roving patrols of all park property, including buildings, vehicles, animals, etc.
- Interact with guests and Ambassadors to create a safe and secure environment
- Investigate incidents and complete incident reports
- Inspect bags and entering/exiting vehicles to prevent theft or the introduction of contraband
- Conduct access control for all vehicles and employees to ensure proper authorization
- Operate mobile and static posts
- Maintain logs
- Issue/receive keys and validate IDs for access
