About The Position

Enforces the security policies and procedures of EverTrue and the community; Guards against, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry to property by performing the following duties outlined in this job description.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months of related experience and/or training
Must apply for security license within 90 days of employment if required by city, county or state and meet the qualifications for such license
Ability to work independently
Ability to follow simple oral and written directions

Responsibilities

Patrols the community on foot and by vehicle to maintain a safe environment and provides security for visitors, residents, and employees
Surveys the community for safety hazards, fires, suspicious people or other hazardous conditions
Ensures security of doors, windows, and gates by performing routine checks
Provides escort service to buildings and parking lots and assist residents to gain entry to their apartments as needed Responds to physical alarms
Assists residents with minor repairs in the absences of maintenance
Picks up trash during rounds in the patio homes and apartments
Delivers newspapers
Performs security searches as needed
Provides assistance to the Fire Department and staff during fire/disasters
Monitors heavy equipment and pressure gauges
Monitors light outage and maintenance
Investigates theft and property damage reports
Participates in snow removal
Completes knowledge of alarms and procedures
Sounds alarm or call police, fire department by telephone if needed
Writes concise and factual reports on each incident that occur during a shift
May operate telephone/paging system receiving and transferring all incoming, internal, and external phone calls and making pages.
