As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to alarms and security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help manage visitor entry in accordance with site-specific procedures, including directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
