Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government office location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, public areas, and restricted access points, assisting with visitor direction, line management, and/or access control procedures as required.
• Document incidents, daily activities, and/or unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts in a timely manner.
