As a Security Officer Patrol Agent in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic construction location, where you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations according to post instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entry points, perimeter areas, parking areas, and active work zones, as conditions allow.
  • Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, logging arrivals and departures, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activity.
  • Support a professional presence that may help to deter security-related concerns such as trespassing, theft, and/or property damage at the location.
