About The Position
As a Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, contractor documentation, and delivery permissions in accordance with established site requirements.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
- Maintain accurate access-control logs, visitor records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
