As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical manufacturing location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
  • Communicate observations and concerns promptly to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as appropriate.
