Requirements

• Hospital vaccinations are required.
• Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help identify unusual activity and/or potential issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and redirecting unauthorized individuals according to site protocols.
• Assist with de-escalation support, routine rounds, and security-related presence in waiting areas and other public spaces to help promote order and address client concerns.
