About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property. As a Security Officer you will serve our customers and provide high-quality service with care and courtesy. Treat customers/patients in a respectful manner. Report all accidents or incidents promptly. Correct and/or report any potential safety hazard you see. Take ownership for a safe, comfortable and clean environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• 1-2 years customer service-related experience in a hospital setting
• Fingerprints and background check during the hiring process

Nice To Haves

• Prior Hospital Security Officer experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Makes appropriate safety and security rounds.
• Maintains watch on the employee parking lot.
• Opens/locks buildings, as appropriate.
• Use/extinguish premises light & turn in a list of defective lights, as appropriate.
• Conduct/assist with missing person reports.
• Provide escort services to visitors.
• Maintain smooth control of traffic.
• Assist motorists involved in vehicle breakdowns.
• Maintains safety practices in the area of his/her assignment.
• Has oversight of the SOC (Security Operations Center)
• Handles Duties associated with the Operation of Metal Detector and Wanding
