Requirements

• A minimum of 6 or more months of security-related experience is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require follow-up.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with location protocols, while reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with directional requests, and completing required reports, logs, and/or other assigned documentation in a timely manner.
