You will conduct routine foot and bicycle patrols, monitor access points, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This active role may include lifting items over 20 pounds and using badge access experience. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, helping to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
