You will conduct routine foot and bicycle patrols, monitor access points, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This active role may include lifting items over 20 pounds and using badge access experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, helping to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
