Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points and alarm activity, and assist employees and visitors with exceptional customer service. Use computer or tablet systems to document observations and support access control processes. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and communicate observed issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding daily activities, incidents, and maintenance concerns.
