About The Position

Per Mar Security Services, a leading provider of integrated security solutions since 1953, is seeking dedicated individuals for Part-Time Security Officer positions in the Downtown Milwaukee area. As the largest family-owned, full-service security company in the Midwest, Per Mar offers comprehensive security services including security officers, smart home automation, alarms, access control, cameras, monitoring, investigations, and background checks. This unarmed position requires individuals to act as a safeguard and customer service representative, performing duties such as foot patrols, vendor/visitor escorts, access control, and general facility security.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
State Security Officer License
Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability.

Previous experience as a security officer preferred

Responsibilities

Serve as a safeguard to the client’s premises and a customer service representative.
Provide escort for vendors and visitors.
Conduct foot patrols.
Restrict access as required.
Provide general security for the facility.
Stand guard at the security officer post, directing visitors, issuing access badges, and providing escorts as necessary.
Log visitor data and other basic reports in the security computer system.
Conduct foot patrols in accordance with post orders.
Respond to alarms and emergencies as directed in post orders.
Look for and report potential safety hazards.
Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined for the position and follow all PPE policies and procedures.
Follow all client site-specific duties, as required and outlined in post-orders.
Work additional hours as needed to fill open shifts.
Adhere to the highest standards of ethical business conduct and compliance by acting lawfully, ethically, honestly, and professionally in the performance of their jobs at all times, as well as comply with company policy and procedures as it relates to their job function.
Assume responsibility for understanding and complying with Per Mar Security Services' attendance expectations.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with Per Mar Security Services' internal/external customers in a mutually respectful manner.
