The Security Professional Flex Officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice. This role includes controlling access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing badges, and maintaining visitor logs, as well as monitoring entry and exit points to ensure overall site security. The officer will perform routine foot and/or vehicle patrols to detect and report suspicious activity, provide front desk support by greeting visitors and assisting employees and guests, and respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner. Qualified candidates must possess an active Top Secret Clearance.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
  • Prior military experience
  • Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Active Top Secret Clearance - Current

Nice To Haves

  • Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
  • Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
  • Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
  • Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
  • Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
  • Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
  • Act as a first responder in emergency situations
