As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors. Using computer or tablet tools, you will document observations and communicate professionally while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and actions to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential community areas, including buildings, grounds, parking areas, amenities, and perimeter locations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with community policies; report unauthorized activity, maintenance concerns, and unusual conditions.
  • Complete detailed activity reports and incident documentation, and maintain professional communication with residents, guests, management, and Allied Universal leadership.
