As a Security Officer in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control operations. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and personnel, and use technology to document activities. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material-related concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report suspicious activity, damaged equipment, or policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to incoming personnel and site contacts.
