Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with access awareness, and communicate clearly while bringing a reliable, caring, and team-focused approach built on integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, helping to support orderly operations and timely communication.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor and staff activity, helping to follow location protocols for entry, restricted areas, and after-hours movement.
  • Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in a clear and accurate manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
