About The Position

The Security Officer position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, protecting casino assets, customers, and team members. This role involves responding to security needs, investigating incidents, providing first aid/CPR when trained, escorting money transfers, patrolling casino properties, and ensuring compliance with Colorado Gaming ICMP's and safety procedures. The officer must also prevent underage gambling and drinking by checking identification.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
One or more years of recent and related experience in security enforcement.
Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

Graduation from a law enforcement or criminal justice course is desirable.
CPR and First Aid Certificates are desirable.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform duties in compliance with safety procedures, including the use of safety equipment, fire exits, and extinguishers.
Identify unsafe practices or conditions and inform supervisors.
Protect the assets of the casino.
Protect casino CUSTOMERS and TEAM MEMBERS.
Respond promptly to requests for security assistance.
Follow established security protocols.
Receive technical direction from the Security Lead.
Perform duties in compliance with the Colorado Gaming ICMP’s.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships and good customer service skills.
Investigate incidents by asking questions, taking and analyzing statements, securing and reporting evidence, and making accurate records.
Provide emergency First Aid and/or CPR when trained and certified.
Escort the transfer of money/assets to designated locations and monitor transfers.
Patrol all Double Eagle Hotel & Casino properties, including customer vehicles, shuttles, and charter buses.
Report Colorado Gaming, ICMP’s and safety violations to the casino security team leader and/or Key on Duty.
Maintain alertness and exercise caution and evaluate circumstances for appropriate security or safety response.
Seek supervision and guidance from Security Team, Security Director or Key on Duty.
Respond to and control emergency situations immediately and act to minimize risk.
Escort employees to drug and alcohol screenings when there is reasonable suspicion of influence.
Perform other duties, including special projects as needed and directed.
Act as an independent verifier for all jackpots and fills as outlined in the Colorado Gaming ICMP’S.
Ensure no person under the age of twenty-one (21) is consuming alcoholic beverages, gambling, lingering in a gaming area, or sitting in a gaming area.
Ask for ID from anyone who looks under thirty-five (35) years of age.
Attend annual retraining of Underage Gambling, Alcohol and checking of IDs.
