About The Position

As a Security Officer Overnight - Medical Facility in Lancaster, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a healthcare location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and directions while supporting a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to hospital personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
