As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Visibility Patrol in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at educational facilities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification protocols.
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and assist with maintaining an orderly environment during school operations, events, arrivals, and dismissals.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to school personnel, supervisors, and emergency responders as appropriate.
