Requirements

  • Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in support of location protocols, directing people to appropriate areas and reporting concerns through established procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in required reports while maintaining a visible presence in a healthcare location.
