About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking immediate hires for Flex Security (Part Time) Officers in the Wentzville / Troy, MO area. This role offers a pay rate of $18.50 per hour. Applicants must be available to work between morning and evening shifts, including holidays, and must be able to respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice. Previous experience in security or customer service fields is preferred. We are looking for passionate, skilled professionals who are reasonably physically fit and able to stand and walk for periods of time. Officers who demonstrate perfect attendance for every shift they commit to during a quarter are eligible for a $100 Quarterly Perfect Attendance Bonus. Security Officers, also known as Security Guards, are responsible for deterring criminal activity, protecting property, and enforcing rules. Their duties can include monitoring surveillance cameras and alarms, patrolling areas, conducting security checks, and protecting equipment and workers. Specific roles include Rover (patrolling and detecting suspicious behavior), Gatehouse (greeting visitors, checking identification, controlling access), and Front Desk (customer service, access control, monitoring CCTV, managing packages).

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age or older
High school degree or equivalent
Professional demeanor and appearance
Basic computer skills
Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Minimum of one year of customer service experience or security experience
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
Must be reasonably physically fit and able to stand and walk for periods of time
Must be able to respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice
Must be available between mornings AND evenings and holidays, if needed

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in security OR customer service fields is preferred

Responsibilities

Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespasser or violators from premises when deemed necessary
Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
Monitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
Other duties to be determined by management
