You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, unauthorized access attempts, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned industrial facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Assist with maintaining orderly vehicle and pedestrian access at gates and restricted areas while following established procedures for contractors, deliveries, and escorted visitors.
