As a Security Officer Alarm Response Patrol in Yaphank, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms, and support loss-prevention efforts. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and use technology to document activities. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, support orderly customer flow during busy periods, and provide directions or information as needed.
