As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Coordinator in Northampton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site procedures.
  • Coordinate visitor, vendor, and delivery-driver access, directing authorized individuals to appropriate check-in areas, docks, and/or designated locations.
  • Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, trailer yards, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
