As a Security Officer - Corporate Building in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a financial institution, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, lobby areas, and other assigned locations; verify visitor credentials and direct guests in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or facility concerns.
  • Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives in accordance with site procedures.
