As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support site operations through routine patrols, clear reporting, and teamwork while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of industrial process areas, access points, perimeter fencing, parking areas, and other assigned locations, reporting unusual conditions or hazards according to site procedures.
  • Monitor access to the facility by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors and contractors, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and complete required incident documentation.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, trespassing, and other security-related concerns through professional presence, observation, and timely reporting.
