As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening people and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and help maintain smooth operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and authorized property entering and leaving designated areas in accordance with established procedures and site requirements.
  • Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections as assigned; report prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, loading areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
