As a Security Officer Badge Room in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy transportation location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. In this role, you may conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to control entry and exit for authorized individuals, vehicles, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, terminals, checkpoints, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Document observations, access activity, and unusual events, and report security-related concerns according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
