As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Redwood City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • 2 or more years of security-related experience are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and sharing information with appropriate campus and/or site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify access as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Support campus operations by assisting with directions, reporting maintenance and lighting concerns, and communicating clearly with Allied Universal leadership and/or local contacts regarding security-related issues.
