About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a utilities location in New Albany, Ohio. This driving position includes front desk duties, visitor access management, monitoring entry activity, and helping maintain a professional and secure environment. The role requires a valid driver’s license and at least five years of security-related experience.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for this driving position.
At least 5 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and protocols.
Staff the front desk and manage visitor access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to appropriate contacts.
Monitor entry points, alarms, cameras, and communication systems, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, service requests, and critical situations; initiate emergency response procedures when appropriate.
Maintain accurate activity, incident, and visitor documentation and communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
