As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, storefronts, parking areas, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and other policy violations.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in required reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
