As a Security Officer Patrol Coordinator in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and assigned security-related duties at a government education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, walkways, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with location policies, and document incidents, observations, and/or daily activity in required reports.
• Support emergency response activities, including following post instructions for evacuations, lockdowns, alarms, and/or other urgent situations while maintaining a professional presence.
