As a Security Officer NYS Licensed Patrol Expert in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and exterior grounds to help enforce site rules, observe visitor activity, and report security-related concerns in accordance with post instructions.
  • Assist with access control duties, visitor processing, and incident reporting while maintaining a professional presence and providing support during routine operations and/or emergency situations.
