As a Security Officer State License Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures and supporting access control activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout assigned interior and exterior areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, hallways, and other assigned areas for policy compliance, visitor management, and/or suspicious behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and/or daily activity documentation with accuracy, and relay relevant information during shift change and/or to Allied Universal leadership.
