As a Security Officer Licensed Experienced Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an unarmed officer, helping monitor and patrol assigned areas while maintaining a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and communicate clearly as part of a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles).
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying supervisors, emergency services, and/or designated personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, public areas, offices, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support staff and visitors with directions, questions, and/or general assistance while maintaining awareness of site rules, restricted areas, and reporting protocols.
