Security Officer R & D Site Clearance Eligible
About The Position
Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Eligible). Full time available at an R & D site in Niskayuna, NY FT Overnight Shift, Saturday - Wednesday 11pm-7am $25.00 / hour : $20.00 / training rate Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance Must have a valid clean driving record Applicants must meet at least one of the following: 2+ years Military, Law Enforcement, or First Responder experience Associate Degree in Criminal Justice (or higher) 5+ years verifiable industrial security experience All qualifying experience must be within the last 10 years. Additional requirements: U.S. Citizen 21 years of age or older At Allied Universal, a Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. As a Cleared Security Officer, you'll receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Must possess one or more of the following: Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
- Prior military experience
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
- U.S. Citizen
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
- Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
- 2+ years Military, Law Enforcement, or First Responder experience
- Associate Degree in Criminal Justice (or higher)
- 5+ years verifiable industrial security experience
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
- Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
- Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
- Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
- Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
- Act as a first responder in emergency situations
