As a Security Officer Screening Examiner in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related operations through screening activities, monitoring assigned areas, and maintaining a visible presence. This role offers the opportunity to deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and dependable support while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and shipping-related documentation, and conduct screening of people, packages, and/or property in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, dock areas, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and/or conditions that could affect operations.
  • Document screening results, incidents, and daily activities in required logs and reports, while supporting access control and other security-related functions throughout the location.
