As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Support in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will use X-ray screening equipment and computer systems to inspect packages, identify potential concerns, and support a secure operation. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and help maintain an orderly environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, shipments, and/or vehicles entering designated logistics and distribution areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections of parcels, cargo, and other items as assigned, reporting prohibited, suspicious, or irregular findings to appropriate site contacts.
  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and delivery personnel by communicating access requirements and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
