As a Security Officer Full Time Site Patrol in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Patrol Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.
Have X-Ray Screening Experience, preferred.
Have Access Control/Badge Experience, preferred.
Have a Guard Card/License, preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, sorting and processing spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe the movement of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and unusual activity through required reports and communication channels.
