As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Authorization in Northampton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, review delivery paperwork, and help to control authorized access for people, vehicles, and shipments.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or operational concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, trailer yards, loading areas, and the perimeter as directed, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
