As a Security Officer Screening Officer in Zionsville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support security-related operations through attentive observation and professional communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and/or team members while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen people, packages, bags, and/or other items entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with post orders, reporting unusual findings through proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including support with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document arrivals, departures, and/or screening activity to help support location rules and security-related requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter, remaining aware of changing conditions within a fast-paced shipping and receiving environment.
